Mt Shuksan Picture Lake Series Paintings From Sunrise To Sunset: The following 5 paintings were done at picture lake starting from sunrise at 6 AM to sunset. In this series I was trying to capture the color shifts of Mt Shuksan and its glaciers from the first sun rays to the last.
As I was working on this series the smoke from forest fires changed the light to a fog effect that I tried to capture in the 6 th painting shown below. In addition, I noticed the full moon on top of Mt Shuksan and its refection in Picture Lake and I painted that after I went back in my studio in Seattle.
